Vocabulary Exercises of the AWL

oh!!!the exercise is so difficult for me.I can't understand the meaning of each word,although sentence is quite easy,i just cant find the right answer of the exercise.In sublist 1.3a,I got fifty points in first time, and I tried five times to get the correct answer of the exercise.It took me fifteen minute.But when I try another esercise,I tried to understand the meaning of options.In this time,I only tried three times to get the answer,and I got eighty points at first try.I think that I have to memorize more and more vocabulary or I am never going to imporve my english!!!
